Archiving Atlanta
Georgia Institute of Technology
English 1102 (Section B)
Professor: Dr. Dutta
The title of this ENGL 1102 course is Archiving Atlanta: Race, Technology, Nostalgia, and a Zombie Apocalypse. Throughout this class, students have the opportunity to document Atlanta, the city that hosts Georgia Tech from diverse perspectives. These different perspectives, ranging from the Atlanta Child Murders, the Hartsfield Jackson Airport, and the influx of Peachtree streets, are documented in a multimodal fashion. The critical analysis of said perspectives are also measured by Flash Writing Fridays, a discussion-based activity in which students are given 15 minutes to concisely respond to an unknown discussion prompt. Ultimately, this course gives a further analysis of the city that is called home by the Georgia Tech body.
